I cannot figure out how to get any of the backgrounds to show up, icons no problem but cannot seem to bring up any (in themes too) to work for the backimage.

What machine are you using? In order to get JPEGs to work, you need Sony's JPEG decoder libraries. It looks like you're using a Palm from your post so you can't use JPEGs directly.

Caffeine Kid,

e-mail me... I'll send you the .bmp and the .PDBs for it. I'll get those uploaded on PGHQ this evening into the ZIP files. I had thought they were in there... I must have missed 'em.

Sorry :(

I am a Plam OS% user and I have Zlauncher as my application launcher and I love it so far. However, I cannot seem to load any JPG Files as background images into my (Palm Zire71) device. Is there an extra step that I am missing? Please help...

Thanx,

I believe you can use BMP files as background images.

You wouldl need to use either a .bmp or a .pdb file for your background image(s).

thanks Iceman, all is good now.
The .pdb backgrounds worked great and things are looking good. I love the circuit design. Very matrixy.

Makes my inner-geek feel all warm and fuzzy.

BMP and PDB files are not working when I hotsync them into SD card or the Palm itself... Should I buy a USB SD card reader for my PC to load BMP pics as Zlauncher back images?

I specify to send them to my card via hotsync and then manually cut and paste it into the correct folder once the hotsync is done. No card reader is needed.

When it hotsyncs it does not store it in to correct backimage folder, you just have to move them there afterwords

No problem, it only took me 4 hours to figure this out. Good thing I was at work and had nothing better to do. :)
