I had to re-install all the applications onto my Clie NX-80V after a crash a while back and have just one problem left, I cannot get the Clie to see the Fellowes Stowaway keyboard. I tried the driver from the CD and got a reset loop. I downloaded the S Series driver from the iGo site at http://corporate.igo.com/support/Drivers.asp?ManufacturerID=36&ModelID=166
(they don't seem to support this anymore) and it seems to have installed properly, but keeps trying to hotsync when I attach the keyboard. The keyboard is enabled in the software.
I also have the Clie keyboard, which used to work but now periodically spouts gibberish, so I got this one, which also used to work. And yes, I have uninstalled that software (even the little bits I had to do manually) and done a reset.
Any thoughts?

Is this the Stowaway XT keyboard?
The only other thing is to check and see if Beam Receive is on or off.
You may already know this, but it has to be on for the keyboard to stay on and connected without lag.

It's not the XT and it plugs in directly rather than using the beaming technology. Like this one:

Ok, good...
But the Beam Receive is a setting in "Prefs" under the general tab I believe. You may want to check this and see if it is set to On. I think after a reset, the default is turned Off.
Hope that helps...

oh, and my Stowaway XT connects the same way as yours but requires this Beam Receive setting: misleading, I know!

Thanks, it was off, but that doesn't seem to have fixed it. Could there be a conflict with the TapSmart KeyLink software? I tried re-installing it in this process too.

OK, researched a bunch, uninstalled Keylink, had to do a warm (no notify) reset to delete the keyboard.prc file. Went back to the cd and installed the drivers from there. This time it worked. Now to try and install the Keylink software again.

OK, both installed and working. Ah, the inner machinations of doing things in a certain order.
