Hi,
I have seen this issue posted on this and other sites; however, I don’t think anyone has satisfactorily addressed or explained it. I am trying again.

I have two (2) Palm T3s and what the manual describes as a "punctuation shift mark" sometimes appears (it seems to have a mind of its own) just after (GO TO) above the status bar on the daily calendar, above the rotate screen on memos & notes. It even appears in the display of the Power One Calculator. It seems to appear and disappear without any provocation from me. I use the keyboard setting and no strokes or taps activate, deactivate or open a function. I have even switched to the graffiti mode to see if its function resided there; no help, It appears and disappears and I can't figure out its use or function. I can provide screen shots if necessary.
It’s a “puzzlement”.
Any help?
Tod

It is active for the first character of a new entry and after a period space for a new sentence or period c/r for a new paragraph.

This includes opening the calendar in day view, it is ready to start a new entry with graffiti or keyboard, no tap on a time needed to start, just type and it starts a new appointment on this day at this time.

It has always been this way and always will be, it is the zen of Palm.

Josser,
For some reason the mark is not active now & try as I may, utilizing your info, it wont activate. This quest of mine is just that, a quest. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it and it doesn't inhibit my use of the T3.
I"D JUST LIKE TO KNOW.
Thanx,
Tod

Back it up, do a hard reset, is it working again? Then you have a software conflict.

The only thing on either of my T3s that I don't understand or is not working is the Punctuation Shift Mark. It is not worth a hard reset. as I said " I would just like to know its purpose and how it works". I guess I'm not the smartest guy that came down the pike.
Thanx
Tod
