I just bought an SJ22. I have an imac at work and an ibook at home. The ibook is running OS9.0.4. Can I use the Palm for Mac software. I downloaded it from palm. It is version 4, I believe.
I don't want to mess anything up. I bought the book recommended How to do everything with your Sony Clie. Very good info, but mostly PC related.
Can I print my address book and todo list from the applications that are on the Sony Clie? How would you do this.
Sorry I have so many questions, but I've never had a pda before. Thanks !! mjkpcmtj

warning: this advice may be suffering from poor memory since it has been a while since i was using os9.x
for mac os 9.0.4 you will probably need palm desktop 2.6.3 or perhaps an earlier edition (i am fairly sure pd 4.x only works on mac os9.2.x and higher)
you will then need to get missing sync from markspace (http://www.markspace.com). this will allow you to sync your clie with your mac (make sure you get the version for mac os 9.x) this is necessary because the good folks at sony do not support macs.
as for printing the things from the handheld: after you sync them to the palm desktop you can print them from that program. there are several programs for the handheld that you can get to let you print (via IR) to certain printers.
good luck:D

Thanks ! I'll try that.
Try Palm Desktop v. 2.6.3 before spending your money on Missing Sync. Nothing against Missing Sync, but most Clie models sync just fine without it. I've never needed it.

My Clie SJ30 syncs just fine with PD 2.6.3 with Mac OS 8.6 on Powerbook and Desktop. An SJ22 should sync just the same, I'm just not certain if you need PD 4.x with OS9 or not, probably not.
Try it first then download Missing Sync if it has problems. My understanding is that you only need Missing Sync for Clies with MP3 capabilities (they don't sync otherwise), or if you want to mount the MS on the desktop nd sync with iTunes, iPhoto. I get along fine with installing things on the MS as a hotsync destination, and use SplashPhoto for images which has a Mac desktop.
