When I push cradle button it does IR sync?

How can I get it to do a cradle sync with the cradle button.

Makes sense to me that it should do that???

The hotsync app is probably set to do IR.
Lauch the hotsync app and set the dropdown menu to cradle/cable.
Close the app and hit hotsync.
This should fix it.

I have set it to cradle/cable and it will sync if I push the icon on the screen, but if I push the button on the cradle, it still tries an IR sync???

Check the hotsync app on the desktop.
Right click on that circly arrow icon in the taskbar and make sure that Local USB is selected.
Other than that I don't know.

yeah, usb is working good.

It will sync, just something stupid with the palm is not telling it cradle sync when I push the cradle button???

is that you have mess up the setting in pref->connection?

you might want to check the "Cradle/cable" connection is set to connect "via cradle/cable"

I guess I'll try and call Sony on the matter. I've checked every setting I can think of. I even tried to just set the IR to be cable/cradle and it won't let me.
