I chose this forum to ask the question, as it has to do with 'issues' moving graphic files from the PC to the HandHeld. He is placing the Files on a Tungsten|T SD-Memory Card (Unknown what model/size).

I created some ZLauncher Themes.
An Example of a file-name for a particular theme is:
Oval_Blue_320x480_Clie_64K and
Oval_Blue_320x320_OS5_64K

I'm trying to work with a user who has a Tungsten|T PDA and and issue has arisen when loading files.

The Two files he is trying to load are:
Oval_Blue_320x320_OS5_64K and
Oval_BlGreen_320x320_OS5_64K

He is stating that when he tries to load both files he gets the following error :

"OVAL_B~2.PRC" already exists In "/PALM/programs/Zlauncher/Theme/". Are you sure
to overwrite it?

He is placing the Files on a Tungsten|T SD-Memory Card (Unknown what model/size).

Now... I haven't heard any other issues from any other T|T users with this problem. It almost seems the SD Card he has is trying to utilize file-names similiar to the old Windows 3.1 using 8.3 format. Is this typical of SD Cards?

Is this how the T|T works with SD Cards or is this how the SD Cards work in General? I would think there would not be much of an issue with Long File Names in the least. He indicated he doesn't have this issue with his old Palm m505 and m15. Course He didn't state whether or not he used the SD card in either of those PDAs. I would think maybe he used a standard MS for that.

Anyone shed some light on this?

I will also post this in the general discussion area to try and help resolve this issue.

Thank you for taking the time to help out!

I believe that happened to me when I was using Windows NT. Seems like it would happen if you double clicked the file inside Winzip (without extracting it to a directory first). NT would then use the short file name version.

It also might be that I had to use the install tool instead of double clicking. Been a while.

And no you can't call me "Mr. Microphone"!! (Inside joke.)
