Hello. Is any of you having trouble with picsel viewer's font size?
I saved some ms word and pdf files(font 12) in MSFILES folder in the memory stick. When I open those files with picsel viewer, the font size is way too small that it is impossible to read without zoom ups. But when I zoom it up, the left and the right sides of the page are partly cut out, so it's really annoying to read it. Is there some way to read this with only up/down scroll like the sample file that came with picsel viewer? Is there supposedly a proper set up for this? Or should I saved the files in certain folders in the memory stick? Answer would be much appreciated. :)

When a paginated document is opened picsel viewer initially displays an entire page on screen. This shows you the structure of the document at a glance, but it means that you'll often need to zoom in and pan around to read it.

The sample page is easily readable, because it was specifically formatted to be easily readable on the clie screen, you could format documents like that yourself it you wanted to.

The version of Picsel viewer currently shipping with Sony clies does not provide support for re-flowing documents, which may be what you're looking for.

It doesn't make any difference where you store files on the memory stick.

Hmm...maybe you could tune up your word doc's font before sending to your Clie

I feel your pain. Got sick of zooming and scrolling sideways to read a doc. So I bought Repligo. Very fine app. It flows text in any doc type (word, pdf, html, etc) and enlarges the font--no more sideway scrolling.

To do this it drops out any graphic, so, if you need to see them you can easily bounce back to full screen mode and zoom. Once done, return to flowed text right from where you left off.

Add compression to to the conversion step that preceeds the auto-setup for syncing to MS and you have to love this app.

I changed to bigger fonts and doesn't get improved much. :/ I guess I'll try out Repligo. Thanx for the replies. :)

There's a 14-day trial so you can experience it before you commit.

That is way to expensive!!!

Would Doc to Go be able to do the same?

Never used it. But, I've read in user reviews that some prefer to use DTG for doc creation and editing, but, like to use Repligo for reading any doc type.

For what you get in convenience, it's not very expensive. Give the trial a try. You will be impressed.

Do i have to convert the files for repligo first on the desktop, or can I use i.g. word and pdf files as they are on the clie as I do it with picsel-viewer?

They need to be converted. However, it's easy. You just print them by selecting the Repligo print driver in the Print Dialog of _any_ program. I have been converting Visio files without a flaw. Then they are automatically setup for the next sync.

The bonus is that they are compressed, plus pleasent viewing behaviors you will discover while viewing them (i.e. tap a graphic and it will fill the screen).

Just give it a try. You will like :)

If your object is to view a document and not to edit a document, probably Repligo is better than DocToGo. File size is small and loadable from MS, and viewer is great, especially if you need to view PDF.
