Ok, this is a weird one.
I have my TX on my desk, face down, charging.
I'm wearing a short sleeved t-shirt and I rested my arm on the palm.
At this point, my TX shocked me from the screws on the right side. Nothing too big, just a constant sting. If I take the cable off, it stops.
I'm using a 2-in-1 charger/hotsync cable.
Does this happen to anyone else?
If you want to test yours, take your shoes off and rest them on the floor.

This sounds like a grounding or insulation problem? Not too sure but just use some caution: We don't want you to literally become "lost in the wires".

Yeah, it looks like it :)

Not anytime soon my friend! And certainly not from 5V :p
The reason I'm asking is that either my TX developed a problem, or its a design "feature" that I just noticed.
I have noticed that I seem to be getting zapped a lot lately, when I pick up my TX while it's connected to the sync cable. I sort of assumed it was from touching a grounded object after walking across the carpet, but we're well beyond heating season here and it's still happening.
I'll have to look into this a bit more.

I have this issue with nearly all of my stuff: camcorder, dvd player, tv set, computer... Always thought that this is normal...

I don't mean a static shock :)
I'm talking about proper constant current.
What I'm getting is not the momentary shock you get from static discharge, but it's not continuous either. Brief, but more than momentary, if that makes sense.

Does it happen when you touch anywhere on the case?
Does it happen when you touch anywhere on the case?
Yes, that is, I've not noticed that it's confined to touching a particular place, as it seems to be in your case. That's why I at first assumed it was static discharge, although it doesn't feel like it. Instead of the single, sharp pain of a static zap, I feel the tingling you get with current, but only for a fraction of a second. We may be talking about two separate issues.

I've been there, it gets worse without your shoes on (bare feet)

OK, I think I have figured out my problem (and I forgot to post back :p).
It seems that one of my USB ports is not properly grounded (and of course it had to be the one I use for hotsync/charging :p ).
