Getting TX to send SMS messages through Motorola V3?

Hi,

I'm trying to get the SMS application on my TX to send SMS messages through my Motorola V3.

I've gone through the setup for phone in the bluetooth preferences and that seemed to have gone fine and paired the 2 devices. I can use the dialling app without any problem. If I setup the connection in the SMS app and click on "Test" it passes okay and I'm even able to check messages to pull SMS messages off the phone to the TX.

However, whenever I try to send a message I'll get an error something along the lines of, "phone returned an incorrect response". Now, the SMS message actually DOES get sent, but after it is sent I get this error and the Palm behaves as if the message was not successfully sent.

I've also tried using Agendus Mail to do the same thing and got pretty much the same thing. Except with Agendus, when sending a message I don't get an error message. Instead after the SMS message is sent, it goes back to the message screen with the only options being send or cancel.

It seems like everything is working okay except the TX isn't getting the confirmation from the phone that the message was sent okay.

Anyone know what the problem here would be?

Erase all the messages on your TX (if any). I was able of pairing both devices but at times it reported me errors, so I had to erase all the sms messages on the palm so it can work again.

Sorry for the slow reply...

I tried erasing all messages but this didn't help. I still get the error when sending.

Also, when I receive SMS messages from the V3, I don't get an error, but I get duplicates of each message. I don't think that's supposed to happen...

If I receive again, it won't recognize that it already has those messages so it downloads them again (I'm not sure if this is a real limitation of the SMS app or if it's part of the configuration problem) so I end up with 4 copies of each message...

Is there an updated phone list for the TX that might fix this? Or a specific code I can use with the generic GSM profile?

I have had the same problem with a Motorola L7e and my TX.

But i also haven't found any solution for it. So i think you have to live with that.

For myself the solutions arises as i lost my Motorola ... and so i buy me a lockfree Centro. There it works as it should.

Tried that but unfortunately it doesn't help. The problems are the same. I guess I'll just have to live with it...
