car charger and cradle for SJ22

hello all,

Sony aggravates me with what they charge for accessories. looking for a car charger, a cradle, and 3rd party memory sticks if there are any for an SJ22.

The Belkin USB Sync Charger is a cable that allows you to sync and charge via usb. In addition, the kit includes a USB cigarette lighter adapter that allows charging via usb while in you car.

A common 3rd party memory stick is offered by Lexar and can be found almost anywhere. Buy.com (http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10326541&loc=101) has a good mail in rebate deal on a Lexar 128 MB stick.

I believe that only Sony cradles are available for the SJ-22, although they can be gotten through other distributers.

I use a car charger from Seidio. The basic unit they sell recharges your Clie from any 9-volt battery (a great "desperation" capability). I then added the car charger to the basic unit. The total price - including s&h - was $30. The big advantage of Seidio is that everything is modular. This means that I only need to order a new connector should Sony change the connector on future Clies or I need to charge something else beside a Clie.

I must say that the car charging unit arrived DOA. However, Seidio was incredibly responsive and I received a new one in a matter of days without the need to send back the DOA part. The new part worked without a hitch. I would buy from them again simply because they were so responsive - and fair - in taking care of a problem with their unit.
