backlight, howto?

Hi.

I am trying to switch on/off backlight.

Looking at API documentacion, i had only found this two posible ways:

- SysLCDBrightness
- UIBrightnessAdjust

But both of them only have effect to the brightness level.

I want to develop a dimmer-like application.

Any ideas or samples?

I use a hack with X Master called Energy Dimmer 2.2
Works very well.
