I have my S-360 for less than a week and the connector on the flip cover breaks! Ah well, I just have to get a case now.

All 3 of my Clies had broken flip-covers. For this last one I've just glued the sucker on. It doesn't provide much real protection (as my first Clie can attest to), but it does prevent casual breakage.
It would be even better if it itself stopped breaking...

Knowing how easily the flip-cover is to break, I have been very careful whenever I remove it or re-install it. I've had it for 3 months, and so far so good. :)
I think if it breaks off, I will probably use a velcro strip on the back to hold it on.
But I really wish Sony would design more durable products. After all .. the original cost of this PDA was $200 ! They should have not used cheap plastic parts on the cover or the Power Off button.
One thing I did make, was a vinyl sleeve type cover to slide my S360 into. It is just a piece of thin black vinyl I bought at a fabric store for around $3. I cut it so it is like a small pillow case which my PDA just slides into. I sewed it by hand by first inverting the case so the plush interior of the vinyl was on the outside, then sewed the edges, then inverted it so the black vinyl is on the outside. It looks professionally made, and fits my S360 like a glove. Now I can carry it in my pants pocket. I keep the flip-cover on when I slide it into my vinyl cover, so the PDA glass is protected. It works great ! And it is very easy to carry around.
I tried several other covers, including a very nice Belkin leather belt-clip style cover, but my vinyl home-made one is better than all of them. It is much easier to carry, and it takes up no more room than the PDA itself. It feels just like my wallet.
It is also good protection. I spilled a little coffee on my PDA few days ago, and luckily the vinyl cover was on it. The PDA didn't get wet, and the coffee easily wiped clean off the vinyl.
