Internet on clie thru cradle

Hi, I've been trying to access the internet on my NX70V thru its crable. On prefrences I'm using WindowsRAS with no password or username and the connection is obviously cradle/cable, in details i have tried PPP(got an error) SLIP(seems to connect) and CSLIP(seems to connect), as i said the last two seem too connect but they then seem to disconnect. Please help!!

Oh, look, I found it. SoftickPPP (http://www.softick.com/files/SoftickPPP104-EN.exe)

It apparently works, but I'm having trouble logging in as it asks for a password which I hadn't assigned. :confused:

OK, I have to ask: Why would you want to do this? I assume the cradle is connected to a PC. If you want to surf, why not just use the PC?

I tried SoftickPPP with successful connection, but I was not able to browse the Internet or use ICQ with my clie, I wrote to Sottick support without success.

If anyone does it, please let us know how it was done

I do this all the time no prob. Windows 2k, Ras connect, fixed IP through DSl router gateway.

FYI,

The information on www.softick.com regarding the requirements for SoftickPPP states that you need Palm Desktop 4.1 or better. You more than likely have version 4.01. Sony has released 4.1 for the NX series but I don't think they have for any other models.

I did try with Palm Desktop 4.1 for NS (Update available at sony support website) and I wasn't able to use softick with my NX
