Chinese font on English Clie - is it possible?

I love my TG50 so much I got one for my sister and my father. My father is situated in Taiwan at the moment, and he is using the english version of OS5 on his TG50.

He asked me if it was possible to get Chinese fonts or characters on his CLIE, because a lot of his business contacts are in Chinese only.

I hope it's possible. Please help. Thanks guys.

It is possible. So many people in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore are using Chinese interface in their Clie.

It seems you need some software like CJKOS, which displays chinese(Big5, GB), Japanese, and Korean characters.

CJKOS 4.27 cannot support OS5/TG50. Only CJKOS 4.5 is support OS5. But CJKOS 4.5 is not release in offical web-site. It's only a gift for some model of Palm.

From the same folks who brought us the ever popu\ar ZLauncher! CJKOS works quite well. It reads Big5 and GB encodings, displays (hi res) traditional and simplified fonts, and supports many input methods, Pinyin, Zhuyin, Changjie, and many more. The current release does not support OS5, but I understand you can ask for a beta that does.

As far as I know there's never an official release of CJKOS for OS5. The newer Palms has CJKOS built-in and I believe the contract ZZTechs signed with Palm prevents them from releasing it for other devices. You might get a beta version if you email them.

Your best bet is HandDragon.

which files for handdragon do I install? It looks like the program is HUGE.

usually the handdragon comes with the gogo pen (hand writing recognize program) as well, it should have a PDINSTALL.exe, run that porgram and install only the fonts, input moethod you want. If you don't know any of the input method, I'll say install the gogopen is a must.
