I am impressed at how fast you can learn to write on these things after only 3 or 4 days.

But I noticed that there are a few symbols the graffiti program doesnt teach you. I stumbled across an open and closed parentheses and a period symbol, and every now and then I can make a single quote or a comma apear, but I can never seem to repeat it.

Does anyone have a complete chart of all the hand writing symbols ? Not just the letters and numbers, but everything ? I'd really apreciate it.

Can't speak for an SL, but on my NX, by default, if I do a long "up stroke" from the Graffiti area to the screen, it pops up a Graffiti Help screen (this action is defined in the "Bottons" section of Prefs.) I can page through and see all of the Graffiti strokes from aplha to numbers to all kinds of special symbols.

Mine came with stickers showing all the possible grafitti strokes so I have them stuck to the inside of my case. It is very handy.

Never mind.

Found a pdf file, installed an old acrobat reader, got a chart of all the graffiti 1.0 symbols.

Long stroke up doesn't work on an sl. No stickers came with it either. Oh well...internet saves the day again. I'm going to screen cap that picture and put it up as my wall paper for a while I think...

Man, I'm going to hate switching to Graffiti 2.0, I can see that now....

Xylophone Players Unite ! We are being discriminated against ! You cannot do a capital X in graffiti 1.0 !

The only letter of the alphabet to have two pen strokes is the x, and if you look at the chart I downloaded, you see you're actually entering extended shift mode, and then the other slash is the symbol for the X. Since you're already in one shift mode you can't go to a second at the same time , right ? The two shift modes don't stack , do they ?

Ooops.... just tried it. They do. You can do capital X's.

Never mind.

Besides, I don't even know how to play a xylophone.

The long stroke up works fine on an SL10. To activate, goto "preferences", select "buttons", and tap on "pen" at the bottom of the screen. Here you get a number of options for the long stroke, one of which is graffity help.

HERE'S YOUR ANSWER...
[I've got an SL10]

1) Open Memopad
2) Tap on 'New' (for a new memo)
3) Tap the top bar (the words Record, Edit and Options appear)
4) Tap 'Edit'
5) Tap 'Graffiti help'
6) Graffiti characters are now shown. Use the jog dial (or the on-screen arrows) to scroll down to see more characters. There's a whole bunch.

Yeah. i think it's really cool. i think my screen protector has affected my accuracy though- but make sure you have one anyways (it might just be mine). The two main problems now are the letter O (very often mistaken for 'G') and the number '9' (constantly mistaken for zero or six).
