I bought Core Player on PalmGear.com, and now I want to upgrade, but can not do that from palmgear / pocketgear. And I asked pocketgear customer support about what to do, here is pocketgears answer to my request:

..."Greetings from PocketGear.com.

"You will need to create an account on the new site PocketGear.com and puchase the software there.

If you have any additional questions regarding this matter please contact us and please include all previous correspondence in order to better assist you.

Thank you for shopping at pocketGear.com,

Sincerely,
XXXX YYYY
PocketGear.com
a divison of Motricity, Inc"

Now.
1. They have not migrated my Palmgear account, which they have taken over, and promised on their front side to migrate...
2. They want me to register on PocketGear and BUY the same software again, to get an else free upgrade...
3. But... they do not sell the program anymore...

I think this is outrageous! And a very, very stupid way of treating your customer. As it happens, I have a new account on PocketGear. But now I do know I WILL NOT USE IT AGAIN.

Sorry for the rant, but be warned, PocketGear is not a place to buy software.

Regards,
Anders H.

I remember Palmgear years ago when they cared about Palm customers and gradually things changed for the worse. I don't buy any software through them any more. I just go to the developer's web site and keep the registration info in a memo.

Hello, got this message from core codes support:

"Hello,
Since Palm Gear has closed... we will be migrating those users soon to Mobihand.com and letting you know when this happens so you can have access to the latest updates.

Hope that helps and thank you for your support.

So, now I am waiting...

You might be able to access your old palmgear account at http://accounts.palmgear.com

Thanks for the tip, Pruss - I use a lot of your software by the way - It is a lot of very solid programs!

I do have access to my account on the old palmgear, but the software I bought there, is not updated... so it is no use...

Regards,
Anders :-)

Yes but why not just dl the trial elsewhere and use the reg info you retrieved from Alex's URL?

In such a case, you should send a mail to the developer.
But all this is such an absurd situation!

As for me, same situation, bought at Palmgear, I sent an email to developer but got no response at all.
