MiddleCapsHack play nice?

i just started using it, and after i activate it, it will work for a little bit, then it stops.  and now it's not working at all, just making a dead space in the middle of my graffiti area.

the other hacks i use: easy launch, font hack 123, NoLinesHack

i also have graffiti anywhere installed for when i write in the dark.

anyone have any idea why MiddleCaps is acting up?

Have a look at Jot. It may cost some money, but I was quickly sold on this since it combined 3 very powerful utilities into one program:
1) Middle Caps Hack - Jot does this, when you cross the 'line' between alpha and numbers.
2) NewPen - can write on the screen and still get the graffiti appear. This is a huge bonus for CLIEs/Palms without virtual graffiti area. Plus, it echos the scripting on the viewscreen.
3) The new graffiti that Palm licensed out - Jot.

As an added bonus, register this software at CIC page (www.cic.com) and you can purchase any three programs for USD$39.99. Jot alone costs this amount!

i'm actually quite happy with graffiti in general, the hacks just make it slightly more convenient.  my preference is to figure out what's incompatible and try to work around that.

Before I'd spend $40 on jot, I'd wait for the smoke to clear on the rumors that Palm will be updating it's OS to grafitti II (Jot) for older devices. They may have to do this to end the Xerox lawsuit.
Just a suggestion. Have you tried other versions of MiddleCapsHack. If you have a NR, the only version that seems to work at all is v1.4b. It is not without flaws though. On my NR, it causes an occasional freeze up when I use the jog dial. Took me a long time to figure out it was MiddleCapsHack, since it doesn't even use the jog dial. Another alternative is Tappad, which includes MiddleCapsHack functionallity.

I could never get MiddleCaps to work right on my NR, I switched to Graspeedy and have had no problems with that (though it seems to be incompatible with NewPen). It's 4.95 shareware.
