pink tint on my screen

I just got my NX70V from Overstock.com and it has a pink tint around the out parts of the screen. Only the center of the screen has a nice pure color. Does anyone else have this problem? Is this a normal thing? If it is not, what can I do about it? Thanks for any help or comments.

This is not a normal think. Pack it and send it back. I have NX70V too with no problem.

I disagree, I bought my clie from CC and one of the white LEDS in the screen DOES have a pinkish tint to it. this is IMHO normal. just like dead pixels in the screen, not all WHITE LEDS are created equal. the tint is there, but MAN you have to LOOK for it. if it doesn't bother you, let it go. it makes your clie unique.

Thanks for the feedback. Now I am finding that the more I use the NX, the harder it is for me to see the tint (even though I know it is still there). I went to a local CompUSA to see how the color is on their NX and surprisingly it too is a little pinkish. I think I will just hold on to the one that I have. Again, thanks to everyone who responded.

Me too... 3/4 inch blob of pink-ish white...

I got my NX70v direct from Sony in December. I'd have been inclined to return it if I had the option, but Sony wasn't terribly accomodating...

It seems more noticable sometimes than others. Mine is at the "top" of the screen when the Clie is opened (and thus at the bottom near the task bar when the screen is rotated and flipped back closed). I don't notice it too much when the Clie is flipped & closed since the dark colors of the taskbar kind of hide it. I use the Clie that way most often, so it's not a real big deal.

It seems to be somewhat temperature related on my Clie. When the screen is cold, I notice it quite a bit more.

On the whole I love my Clie, but Sony's Q/C and their (lack of!) developer support has me almost wishing I'd gone w/ a Tungsten instead. Almost... I mean... Supported sound would be nice, but that slid-open thing looks like scratched Graphiti area to me...

does ur NXs lcd kinda look a bit yellow / amber compared to a t665 or other lcds?

I used a manifing glass to look for that pinkish color on my screen.. nope could not find any trace of pink or blue for that matter, but as Keeserc said it could be part of the design or just a flaw in some units
