Hello!

I've been installed Deluxevare Weather application on my TX. I turn on keyguard option, but from this time my NVBackup can't start automatic backup process - because keyguard immediately turns off TX. If it possible to coexists NVBackup and this keyguard application and do automatic backup? Or I miss something - some option?

Thanks for suggestion

I don't know it this is relevant to your problem or not as I don't use the weather app that you mentioned, but on my 755, NVBackup fails to backup if I fail to acknowledge an alert.

I use the keyguard and NVBackup1.18 works flawlessly, unless of course, I receive a txt msg or some other alert and don't acknowledge it.

This is the exact same behaviour I find on my T|X; keyguard itself works fine with NVBackup, but not if there are background alerts.

I am currently using NVbackup 1.21 (as available on SourceForge (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=92189&package_id=186018)). Is there any reason for not using it (although I cannot tell if this will solve the issue you mention)?

It has been so long, that I don't really remember why I didn't upgrade at the time. 1.18 does what I need so I just never bothered.

The old adage: if it's not broke don't fix it, eh? I've been using 1.18 for some time now. Such an awesome app!! I went ahead and upgraded to 1.21.. loved the new options in the scheduled backup... prompting first with a nice message screen. :) If you don't respond to it, it just goes ahead and run it's backup.

Thanks again, Pruss for developing this app. You have no idea how many times it has saved me!! :)

Maybe 1.22 (beta) is better?

Sorry Alex, when trying to DL the latest version, all I see is what looks like code and no .prc.

I will try tomorrow.

If you're using your device to dl, bluefishcfc, sometimes that happens. Not sure why. I just paste the link in my downloader app instead like MassDL (on this site).

The main new thing is that I fixed the keyguard interaction issue, I think.

Also, log files now have .log instead of .txt extension, so docs2go doesn't see them.

Could some folks check that the keyguard works with the scheduler dialog?

I still see the log files in txt extension. Both in my TX and 650. Weird.

Keyguard (SOnTime over the built-in) on my 650 is not a problem with the scheduler dialog which shows up very well. The scheduled backup continued and finished without problems. :)

The question is whether you can tap on the three buttons in the dialog with the keyguard on.

Are there also log files with .log extension?

My overnight backup shows that %%log.txt has been replaced with %%backup.log. However, %%comment.txt remains and it also shows in Docs2Go. I'd prefer that not to be the case also. Could you give it a different extension too?

Could I rename existing %%log.txt files to %%backup.log without causing trouble? I have several archival backups that it would be nice to bring up to date.

Tapping Now starts almost instantly. Tapping 10 minutes starts 10 mins later as expected, but there's no feedback that the button has been pressed. After 2 mins the screen goes off and 8 mins later the backup starts (with the popup asking to backup Now, in 10 mins or Tomorrow).

Logs:%%encrypted.txt, %%comment.txt and %%backup.log. The .log can also be read by DTG.

Working fine. :)

Should I change .log to .dat not to mess up the DTG display?

I uploaded 1.22b2. It also changes the extensions of %%encrypt.txt and %%comment.txt. It does this when you update a backup.

Something worth testing is whether it is capable of restoring old encrypted backups.

I did a manual update with 1.22b2. %%comment.dat replaced %%comment.txt. %%backup.log was created, but %%log.txt remains. Should NVBackup have deleted it when it created %%backup.log? Or should we delete those files manually?

I don't use encryption, so I can't comment on whether old backups can be restored.

The log files can always be safely deleted.

1.22b3 should rename primary log files (if it doesn't have new style ones already). Uploaded.

1.22b3 ... Uploaded.
Where would it be uploaded? I tried the usual suspects... freeware section here at 1src... sourceforge... ZLThemes...
