Hi everybody,
Just wondering what the possibilities are for a driver to be created. This, of course, in case Siemens hasn't already included one with the software package.
Maybe Asayin can give us some light on this. Thanks

Sent an email to CF45 manufacturer and got the reply below.... so frustrating...
---------------------
Dear Mr X
Many thanks for your recent enquiry. We have re-evaluating the market for Compact Flash format GSM/GPRS products over the past few weeks.
A great deal of uncertainty exists on the volume demand for portable PC products and in particular the upside potential for notebook based sales relative to PDA volumes. This fact together with the closing window of opportunity for Compact Flash based GSM/GPRS connectivity as integrated solutions emerge has resulted in the decision to cancel our plan to produce the CF45.
The decision has been taken reluctantly as many people still believe in the product, however, the difficulty in predicting sales means a decision to commit to production will not be made. This is disappointing for all concerned.
Apologies that we are unable to assist on this occasion.
Kind regards,
Samantha Bradley

Thanks for this update.
Anyway, Iīve heard of other options for now I guess I will stick to my Ericsson t39m, BT Memory Stick and NX70V.
This is a clear example of hi-tech products imposing on the market (demand) without a previous thorough market impact.
If Siemens realized this long before launching the product, it would probably mean that other companies would follow suit.
Letīs wait and see what happens...sometimes, mostly because of low-cost manufacturing and other opportunistic reasons, a standalone company ventures and opens the way.
