Anyone noticed how there are a lot of people visiting the site lately?

I guess this is good news but the server has been struggling lately because of the uncommon total number of visitors for the past few days. Right now it's at 472 and lately the average has been around 300. I guess everyone is so anxious about the rumored new models coming! :D

This is actually the cause of the site slow down, with a lot doing searches all at the same time. If this will be a constant thing, CS will need to do a 4th server upgrade! :( :D

Yes, alot of unregistered gossip-er's to provide the newest Clie spec's. Sony is doing a great job of keeping the lid on the latest.

Btw, we took out the Birthdays, Events, and Polls on the main page during this time of high traffic.

Right, once the new clie info officially leaks out, I'll think that the traffic will be even heavier ... at least until the new clie starts to sell in the market.

And did you take out the forum jump at the bottom of the page, too? I noticed it was missing last night.

I guess it's a good thing for more folks to be visiting CS but I'm sure it puts a strain on the servers. Is it time to talk about a subscription service again?

Yes Vidge, we took that out too. we thought the main forums are always at the top anyway, and the 'fourms' link at the top will also display all of the forums -- of course it'll be an extra click.

Btw, it's funny how the Birthdays, Events, and Polls made such a big effect on speed on the main page.

Are there any chances of putting the forum jump back in? It's annoying to have to scroll to the top of the page while reading a thread (especially a long one) to switch forums. When you're viewing 40 posts per page, the scrolling can take a while.

Well, this might prove to be the PDA that everyone wants... but not till the end of the year. Guess what? ... what psyche job that has been done on us. Depending on what you're using now, you may be disappointed. I bought a T|C last week - and I'm giving serious consideration to returning it. Love my NR70V;)

What didn't you like about the T|C? I'm curious, as that would be what I would get if I were forced to give up my NX and couldn't get another NX.

Actually, i registered to this site after purchasing my 1st PDA, an NX60. I think one main reason why you are seeing so many new faces is because of the blowout deals being offered on the "soon-to-be" discontinued (or probably already discontinued) NX models like mine. This is an awesome site by the way! Good thing i didn't find it sooner...otherwise, i would have waited and spent twice as much for the new Clies! hehe.

I'm the original "Bonehead" when it comes to my NX70. I login whenever I come to the site. I'll assume my .0009% responsibility for server overload. I've learned a lot here and had some good laughs, to boot!
