I have just bought a Sony NZ90 and got a Memory stick pro 1 GB a few days later.
I have also downloaded the latest drivers for the memory stick pro, but it cannot write, only read from the memory stick.

I tried the memory stick on my friends NX70, it read and write perfectly, but it could only read on mine.

Can anyone help on this?

Perhaps too obvious, but did you check if write protection is on on your MS?

Did you do a pin reset? Are you sure you have the right driver for your Clie? Did you check to make sure that it had actually installed?

Some have downloaded the wrong driver for their region and Clie. There's Asian, European, and USA clies.

What is a pin reset ? is it resetting the sony clie by pressing in the pin for the soft reset ?
i have already done that and it still doesnt work.

The write protection switch is not set to on.

I bought my Sony clie NZ90 in Southampton, England.
It says at the back that it is 'Made in Japan'.

I've downloaded drivers from 2 different sites and installed them each at a time, but they still didnt work.
i installed it first in the internal memory, that didnt work.

www.clie-link.com/uk/updates

www.ita.sel.com/support/clie

the only thing i have not done is reformat the memory stick, i'll give that a try.

Yes, it's a soft reset. All Clies are made in Japan, but there are different markets. You have to download the right one and install it to RAM only. You have to determine that it's a UK model or USA model.

Again on the Sony support site, it tells you to verify that the driver installed correctly.

Your NOT the first one who has had this issue.

I've finally formatted the memory stick to FAT system and now it works perfectly.
