opera mini is not that bad http://www.operamini.com/download/wap/palm/ . I prefer Xinno myself. Here is list of a couple of other available for palm... http://tamspalm.blogspot.com/2005/09/web-browsing-on-palm-update.html

Also, I tried pocketlink- Xinno v3.4.1E, Opera Mini or Web Pro v3.5 are way better.
Hope it helps.

Also useful to consider are NetFront and Picsel Browser (the versions converted to work on standard PalmOS).

Picsel is a bit difficult to get working, let alone find :)

Try the previous version -- the most recent one published is notoriously unstable.

Well, _Em, the previous one was unstable, but the most recent one is fine. It seems that you are one version late!
By the way, when you now click a video on you tube, it opens nicely in kinoma (small window). Blazer do not do this.

Can you tell me how did you set up the JVM (a guide for idiots please)...what version do you use... Do you use UDMH?..Do you use Uncache or cleanstart?...What do you put in them (uncache or cleanstart) JVM or opera mini...Because I canīt make this thing work...Do you use J9 launcher?

Thanks in advance...

There are some posts with good advises here or on brighthand. Cache is at max, memory at 1 mb. JVM is at 5.7.2. I use uncache, but I also tried cleanstart and it works well too (with Blazer not in uncache list, neither Oper a nor JVM, does not need too). I use Off Flush too (at 60%), not UDMH. I usually do not load images. I use a custom ROM but it was stable before and I did not see an improvement with the ROM. I do not know what j9 launcher is. I also use fontsmoother, but it does not make it more stable, it allows to have tiny clie characters. Try to install it a couple of times, it seems that the installation could be wrong (it happened to me). You could try a hard reset and go with only unchache and off flush, thanks to NVBackup it does not cost much time. Good luck!

To me, Opera Mini is very good at large web pages, I cannot stand the slowness of Blazer now, and Netfront fails most of the time. I never use pages for mobiles in Opera Mini, not so useful, contrary to Blazer.

By the way, You tube mobile did not work anymore with Opera yesterday evening (it worked in the afternoon)...

Memory only goes to 64K should i reinstall it? or is this the not right one

What files do you have installed ?

For Opera mini 4.1 beta it has to be:

J9JavaVMMidp20.prc
J9pref.prc
JavaVMCheck_enEN.prc

fileconnect.prc
pimop.prc
PIMPrefs.prc

(without localisation files other than english)

And <here> (http://www.wegzumselbst.de/dat/Java 5.7.2 Install.prc) you can download an nutshell installer which installed that files.

Settings for all java programs on my TX:

Double buffering
Hires
Max memory: 1MB
Max java thread stack: 16kb

No UDMH,no Offflush, fontsmoother deactivated for Opera. Thats my settings.

I wish Code Player was supported in this way.

Thierry, how do you like Kinoma? Is it quick to respond... any crashes/rests? ease of use?

Another suggested browser is Universe. It's the only one with tabbed browsing!
(downside is that it doesn't seem to get updated anymore)

It will be updated....eventually. with a webkit (safari) core. But only when he gets around to it.
