I am a long-time palm user but never came across the answer to this (maybe simple) question.

Is there a utility or a setting that will allow you to tell alarms that pop-up alerts to "go away" automatically?

My problem is that I have a couple of older palms I use for alarm clocks, and I invariably find that I have battery drain because the ALERT screen stays on screen indefinitely. (Because all I am using it is to wake me up, I often don't pull it out to hit the screen -- I ant it to reset automatically). Sometimes it eventually goes away, but sometimes the alert seems to interfere with a scheduled backup or something else that seems to cause it to just freeze with the power on, and stay on and drain the battery.

Is there a utility or program that will automatically press OK for you to dismiss alarms / alerts?

thanks

You might want to try Apt. It can take an event, say, an alarm, and you can find the coordinates of the OK button and enter them. Apt will automatically (after a delay of x milliseconds) execute that function. But you have to know how to set that up. Which isn't that hard. ;) :)
