Home Button (Hardware)

Although my Home Button is mapped to Favorites, when I press it either nothing happens or the Menu of what ever app I'm in initiates.

Note sure what happened here. Any help?

Well... after hours of trying to find what hack, what app was somehow taking over the function of the Home hard button....

I used Google for tons of sites with similar problems on a variety of handhelds, but nothing.

I even restored my LD back to it's original configuration!

So I was playing with the Home button and noticed that the menu key would only activate if I touched the Home button in a certain place. It didn't even have to "click."

So I wondered if something in my coat pocket (small bit of debris) some how squeezed behind the button.

I had a air spray can used for dust and blasted the air right behind the button.

I didn't see anything fly out, but sure enough... now the home button is back to normal.

How it happened that some little piece of debris got behind there is beyond me, but maybe this will help someone else in the future.

I was on the verge of taking apart the whole device!! Haha!!

Well, I'm restoring my LD back to few hours ago from my NVBackup. Whew!!
