SDHC possible?

Is there a ROM patch available that will make SDHC cards readable by a Lifedrive or is the hardware just not there to support it?

its software, but in order to make it work on LD's or TX's requres alot, ALOT!! of work. Its very unlikely that it will be made.

ok. i'll make guy guys a deal. if you get at least 100 people to promise in full faith to purchase an SDHC driver for TX/LD/T5/(maybe zire 72) for a price of $20, i will put serious effort in getting this done, and will very likely succeed.

I would pay about $10 for a TE2 fix...Thats because a PSP can use a memory stick up to 4gb...

LD users would have less of a vested interest as we already can have 8 gb without any patches. (4 gig internal, 4 gig card)

I think everybody would benefit from a patch of this type either for the T|X or the LifeDrive, so count me in...I could use a lot more space, especially for my movies on the road.

I would definately pay $20 - 30, as long as it supported the Tapwave Zodiac. I bet a lo of other Zodiac users would as well.

Just as a thought, I do remember reading somewhere that Palm devices would not be able to access cards above 8GB, even if an SDHC driver were released. Can anyone categorically confirm / deny this? 2 x 16GB cards would be sweet :)

So that's 16/100 so far; I'm not sure if I'd be up for it or not, as I'm doing well with a 2GB card right now. If my $20 is needed to go from 99 to 100, I'd be in though :)

To further muddy my answer, I don't have a life drive or TX and probably never will because they are made by Palm. I don't think the person with a Zodiac would count, nor would I count(because my response is for TE2). I guess if someone with a Zire 72 may count but suppose you only get enough response in say within six months?

Maybe if I find a reasonably cheap TX or lifedrive within two weeks I might change my tune?
