What's the largest bitrate MP3 have you tried playing?

I notice that the playback seems to start skipping once the bitrate starts going higher than 192kbps. Has anyone tried files beyond that and have the same problem? CPU not keeping up?

I'm using pTunes 4.

Through Ptunes, I've played 320 easily. It seems not to play anything above that.

TCPMP has a plugin for FLAC, but I've never gotten it to work.

does clock-rate have anything to do with it? A couple updates ago, ptunes cleaned up their application and now im able to run it at 156mhz with no problems watsoever :D (warpspeed, thanks dmitry :D )

i was using my own mp3 decoder, not any prog. mine's a bit more optimized (its in arm asm)
