Have you verified in the device and Palm Desktop's settings that it is set to synchronize all functions?
While in the Palm Desktop, click on HotSync at the top, then Custom. This will bring up the list of apps that will be synchronized and how they will be synchronized. Make sure they are set to "Synchronize the files".

Yes the hotsync setup is set to sync all files for datebook, memos, address, and to do. Its just seems funny that the date book is the only one that actually synchronizes..... does anybody else have this problem w/ vista?

I suggest you try upgrading to Palm desktop version 4.1.4 or 6.2 (available from the Palm downloads here (http://euro.palm.com/europe/en/support/downloads.html)) and then retry - these "new" versions of Palm desktop should at least be Vista compatible.
i'd suggest 4.14E which work welll with my UX and can also sync with outlook if you prefere....

Probably the 4.1.4 version. That or it is finally time to upgrade your PDA ;)

I had thought that too several times, but you know, the sj22 does everything I want / need it to do. (So I don't know what I'm missing)
here's my post of what worked for me.
