I am trying to Hotsync using Outlook as my Translator, but when I try to configure/specify the data files that I want to sync up to my handheld, I get the following message:
The file or database name associated with MS Outlook is missing, invalid or points to a file of zero length. Use Browse Button to locate files. So, when I do that I use the browse button and can see my outlook files, but I can't select them/everything is grayed out.
Also, when I go to my HotSync Manager and select set-up, I don't see a Com Port Listed/field is blank, nor can I type it in. I know that I am connected, because when I do the hot sync, the icon pops up on my PC monitor showing that it syncing is in progress - it even says that syncing is complete after that, but no files are downloaded to my palm. In addition, when I go to set-up and select local USB in Hotsync Manager, I get the following message: The selected port, com1, is not available at this time. HotSync Mgr. will open the port when it becomes available.
I am not very literate when it comes to these sorts of things, so I am hoping that I have explained the situation well enough for you to help me.
Thank you, in advance, for your assistance; I am very frustrated at this point, and anything you can do to help me, will be greatly appreciated.
