Hi,
I've been looking for an FTP program for Palm OS (specifically a Sony Clie TH55 running OS 5.2).

Any recommendations? Free would be nice but will consider paid software.

I've come across LFTP but it sounds like it's command line driven (not for me), Hands High WiFile (a bit pricey), and there are some others that lead to dead ends when I try to download.

thanks,
-Tony

I would recommend Resco Explorer (http://resco.net/palm/explorer/default.asp) which is a really powerful filemanager which can handle FTP (even secured FTP connections are supported), too.

Assuming you want an FTP client...
Have you tried Resco Explorer?

[edit]Bah... you beat me to it by a split second. With a link too ;)

Hi,
Thanks to both of you for your quick replies. I'll check out Resco Explorer, it's reassuring to get 2 recommendations for the same product. I checked out the website and the product has some very useful features over and above just FTP.

I was looking at the Asus EEE, but decided for the sheer minimal weight factor, the Clie TH55 will do just fine. The FTP program will round out the other programs I have in there: Snapper Mail, Documents to Go 10, Palm VNC, Pocket Quicken, MathU, plus the standard Clie programs.

thanks again,
-Tony

You might also try VFSFTP which I have found to be a little more stable than RE 2007. VFSFTP works really well, is shareware, but only for like $10.00. Even if you don't register, it still remains fully functional, but you should still check it out. I actually use both...

Here's another vote for Resco Explorer. It's a great program. Version 4 with Bluetooth FTP as one of the new features is currently in beta.

Cheers.

Resco Explorer works great for ftp. :-)

I am guessing Blazer can download ftp URLs, too.

oops, sorry about that. It's been a while since I played with MassDL and I forgot (waiting patiently for the MGET * option)
