I've heard good things about DateBook5 So that is something i am looking into, but what is the best program to manage finances??? Something to keep track of Payments, Bills, Checking/savings, etc.....

Is Pocket Quicken worth it???? or is there something better???

Now....where can i get DB5 or anyone of the finance programs????

Thanks,

DateBK5 is awesome... I have used it for some time. I am even beta testing the new version coming out soon. This beta version (almost ready for full release in a week or 2, which you will have full access to if you are a registered user... no upgrade costs!) is very, very stable and is almost the perfect version, which supports the high resolution of the Clies. This means that you will see some really neat features in that one.

My boss uses the Pocket Quicken and loves it, since he can integrate it right into to his desktop quicken. From what he says, it is great. I personally use my own spreadsheet created in Excel that I downloaded via Documents to Go Premier 5.0. This one really rocks for me, but I am a power Excel user and you could customize your own via Excel.

Here are links for both of these (and Documents to Go... it rocks, too).

DateBK5:

Pocket Quicken:

Documents to Go Premier 5.0 (but check out the DataViz website because it is a much cheaper upgrade there):

http://www.dataviz.com/purchase/upgrade/documentstogo/index.html (for the upgrade on a Clie)

I hope this helps,
Robert

I agree definitely with BigClock.
Works great as a desktop clock while its in the cradle and used it as a stop watch to time experiments for my daughter.
Has a lot of other useful features.
Never tried DateBk but would like to.

Docs to Go is nice and so is Quicksheets.
But since DTG came with my Clie I will probably stick with that.

Is there any way to set Sheet to GO to show more than 2 or 3 columns at a time?
QuickSheets and Minisheets both will allow about 9 columns and is still very readable.

Good question. It would be great if you could rotate the screen display so you see more columns across. I know you can rotate the display in TealDoc, but I haven't found a way to do it with Sheet to Go.

Yes, if you have a high resolution device by going to the File in the Menu and choosing Zoom... to select more (or less) to view.

I hope this helps,

Been usin' Datebk5 since it was Datebk3. Nicest thing about it is the ability to clone appointments...something sorely missing from native Calendar app from the get-go (not sure if this has been remedied).

Thought about Agendus...but once I heard about their questionable business practices, I put the kibosh on ordering *anything* from iambic.

Oh, and Quicksheet rocks (Premier -> allows exchange of NATIVE MSOffice files! No conduit necessary!).

IMHO. ;-D

Ok, so I got to SheetsToGo and select a File to open.
Once the files open I select the menu.
I don't see "Zoom" anywhere.
I'm using the standard edition that came with my Clie.
Will that make a difference?
Sorry to be a bother and thank you for you assist.

Unfortunately, I believe it does. I have not used the basic Documents to Go in some time. There may be another place to change the text size, so keep looking for something referring to Zoom, Font, etc. I hope this helps and that there is something there.

Thanks, All info is appreciated.
I'm thinking of upgrading to Premiere anyway.
Is that what your using?

In the meantime I'll keep digging around for Zoom.
Not going to stop me from using DTG though.
Just started really using it a couple of weeks ago even though I've had my Clie since last May.

I did upgrade on the www.dataviz.com website for only $29.95. It was well worth it as far as I am concerned. Good luck in your search until you do upgrade, though.

When I got my T615, I registered the Docs to Go that came with it (4.??). When I registered it with them, there was a free upgrade for Sheet to go (still version 4.??) that included a highres update so you could zoom. I just recently got an email with an upgrade offer to get v 5 premium for $20 so I went for it.

Nice... very nice. I had to pay $29.95 for my upgrade to Documents to Go 5.03. Oh, well. Enjoy.

I use Ultrasoft Money for my finances because it integrates with Microsoft Money for my desktop. If you use Money instead of quicken, get this program. www.ultrasoft.com
