This solution is for real. It works and it's free! I've been trying it out for the past several days, since I ran across it in a newsletter.

It's freeware called Hotpopper (not to be confused with Hotpop.com - the free mail provider). Hotpopper accesses your Hotmail account as though it is a POP 3 account. That means Hotmail messages are downloaded to your POP 3 email client. And that means that Hotmail messages can be synced to your Clie.

After you install Hotpopper on your PC and BEFORE you try to download your Hotmail messages for the first time, be sure you go into the Hotpop configuration settings in your PCs email client and change the "Leave mail on server" to "yes". Otherwise your Hotmail messages will be deleted from the Hotmail server. I found that out the hard way.
