Hello,
I am using one of Sandisk Plus cards with my treo (doubles as a USB flash drive, very convenient), the problem is I already forgot it twice attached to a PC and returend to find it (luckily) hours later.
Is anyone aware of a program that periodically checks the presence of the card and alarms if not there?
Any help appreciated

I am not aware of such a program, but it sounds simple enough. I would thing any Palm OS programmer could bang this out in a day or so (unless I am over looking something).
General Specs, for someone looking for a quick Palm OS app to try:
Configuration: Amount of time till alert.
UI:
* Screen to set configuration.
* Alert screen.
* Other optionals such as: Help, About.
Events to listen for and actions:
* Card removal event: Set an alarm to go off in the configured amount of time.
* Card insertion event: Cancel any set alarm.
* Alarm: Sound alarm, and display alert screen.
* Reset: Check to see if there is a card or not, if not set an alarm for 1 minute from now (there are problems with doing UI stuff durrng the reset event).

Thnx.Greek, thank you! works flawlessly, I will see how the battery drain is, I hope it will not be an extreme extra load with frequent checks.
JavaJiveJump, check out this image (http://a.img-dpreview.com/news/0502/sandisk_ultraiisdplus.jpg), it will explain with great simplicity the concept of the SD plus, it is convenient to have a storage space that you can access with your palm (reading PDFs or documents, working on them, music downloads with immediate access on PCs, etc...)

No noticable battery drain, the "Alarm" sound option is loud enough to attarct attention in the noisiest of places. Great find!
P.S. With Treo 700p from Sprint, 4GB SanDisk Plus card
I've been using Cardkeeper on my Treo 650 for a year or so with no issues. It's saved my card a few times when I've dropped my Treo.
