AudioPlayer skin DB problem

This week I noticed that when attempting to listen to some music via AudioPlayer, I received an error message, "Cannot find skin DB for AudioPlayer". I have never changed from the default skin or messed around with it. Just simply added & removed songs. Been using this for 6 months without problems, but ???. I tried reinstalling AudioPlayer back to the Clie from the installation CD, but no change. Does anyone have any suggestions on fixing this? I would really appreciate the help.

Go the folder where u installed the palm desktop software (default is C:\program files\sony handheld) and open the add-on folder, and hotsync one of the "audioplayer skin samples" on, shoudl work.

Tried it, but the skin already exists. The problem seems to be that it's missing the skin database. I don't see anywhere to get that. Think it came with the unit. Not sure how it was removed either.

I think the skin DB for audioplayer in the rom have missing,restore rom you backup
When I deleted a skin DB in the rom,I found that I can't use Audioplayer
The warning is what you received (Cannot find skin DB for Audioplayer)

Ok. So how can I re-install it?

I have the same problem as u do. I have no idea what to do, I just use the Photostand to listen MP3. that really annoying. :(

First of all.I used the Jacksprat to backup rom files
and there are about 40s.one of these is Jacksafe.prc(maybe wrong)
1.hotsync the rom files to palm.(you should keep your palm' momery as enough as you can.hard reset is a good way)
2.On your palm luncher you will find the program Jacksafe
3.Run the program
4.restore rom

I deleted the rom version of audioplayer skin once, i could put a version in RAM and it would work.

Try doing a warm reset, hold up and press reset. The Clie's screen shouldn't flilp and grafitti will nto be minimizable, status bar will be blank, then go and delete the skin remaining file. Then hotsync one of the skisn in the add-ons in the folder u installed palm desktop. And reset (or reset before hotsyncing)
