Hey all,
I have a 256MB SimpleTech CF that I'd been using on my HP Jornada 548 -- it's filled with mp3s and pics.
Do you know if I can just get the driver, stick the CF in my NX60 and let it fly? Or do I have to format the CF for the Clie, wiping everything out?
TIA

As long as the card is formatted FAT (not FAT32) you should be fine to just drop it in the Clie.

No, the folder locations are probably different. Don't know if the CF card is formatted to FAT. I also don't know how your mp3's are recorded. If you used mp3 Pro or VBR for recording, the Clie won't play them. If you have Acid Image and if the card was formatted right, yes then you may possibly view the pics.

I was just wondering the other night if you could share a CF card between a Clie and a PPC (not that I'd ever DREAM of owning one....). Wouldn't you just be able to create a two distinct file structures and bounce between the two? Or would there be the potential for corruption with bleedover? Let me reiterate, I have NO desire to make the jump to the darkside, just curious!:D

I have used cards in both cameras and my NX without incident, so I would assume (having used PPC in the past) that there would be no problem sharing a common card as long as the file structures are set up.
As for NO desire to make the jump - hey, use both - variety is healthy in this situation...
Cheers, Rich

I've been tempted to pick up an Axim, but I'm pretty sure that would catapult my CLIE "hobby" into a PDA "obsession". I envision a point down the road where the most prominent feature on the desk is no longer the desktop, but a long line of assorted PDA's....:D

I had HPC's and PPC's before, your not really missing anything. They all have their quirks, but the Palm is more stable and faster in my experience.
