<sigh>
time to add this to my sig I suppose...
Legally, you cannot -- Or should not-- get it. You didn't agree to a EULA, you didn't get a license from IBM, so technically any DL you get is illegal, like downloading gameboy ROM files or such. I'm sure you could find a direct link to palms file host if you searched the forum (a week back or so might I add -- I won't pounce on you this instance, but 1src has a search function) but let's not go there. Legally, it's questionable...
Then again, instead of installing IBM Java WebSphere, you could go for something like Java HQ (http://www.devx.com/wireless/Article/28509/1763/page/1). Of course, I think Java HQ needs you to compile your jar files into a PRC before loading them on your PalmOS device, but that's a small price to pay... especially since it is faster, has a lower memory footprint, and seems more stable.
For those who have problems reading web pages and using Google, the runtime app is linked on page 2 of the article, and the conversion tool is linked on page 4. However, the links are outdated. This stuff is the official Sun Java offering for PalmOS. Going over to Sun's pages (http://developers.sun.com/mobility/midp/articles/palm/), you'll find the following links:
http://java.sun.com/products/sjwtoolkit/index.html
Hmm... actually, forget it. I can't find the PRC converter anywhere anymore; it appears Sun has stopped providing it. Gah!

The Sun VM is for older machines, and very few applications are compatible. The only possible VM is the IBM WebSphere, so if someone wants to run J2ME midlets on his Palm, he has to take this one.
Perhaps a software developer can write a new virtual machine (which would be the only legal possibility). Even IBM's one wasn't perfect and there are many incompatible midlets.
