Has anyone experienced the wifi on your LD just quiting? It seems to have just stopped. Not sure what to do about it. Any suggestions. TIA

Do you mean it just turns off and stays off, or it isn't able to acquire a signal?

It is not showing any signal and certainly not acquiring it. I know there is a very strong signal - have tested it with other computers. I took off the latest software additions and did a reset. I turned wifi off and then back on - pretty much all I could think of. Any other ideas? TIA

Ah...no.....was hoping to avoid that. Was hoping there was someone with just the experience I needed. But, you are right, that may well be called for.

Maybe you have SSID hiding and MAC filtering at your WiFi access point?

How about Adding the wireless information of the WAP you are connecting to?

How about Adding the wireless information of the WAP you are connecting to?
Can you give an example. I am having the same issue being discussed here.

well, if tomloui's suggestion is true, then it is simply that you your device cannot "see" the wireless network and list it to connect to.
So instead you Edit Wi-Fi Networks. On the next screen you choose the Add button...
Here you can manually put in your SSID and security information for the WAP.
Also, make sure your MAC filtering (if you're using it) incorporates the MAC address of your LifeDrive (which is on the back the back of the LD).
Hope it helps.

I got into a sticky situation - which maybe similar to what you are having - a while ago.
My WiFi would reset the device when the configuration tool was activated. From the debug messages after boot, it seems that the device didn't have it's firmware loaded onto it.
I think i had hacked a custom rom with Softkick Audio Gateway on it, and this caused the problem. Thing is, even running it from a ROM without this in, and running from RAM or VFS caused this problem. After a hard reset all was fine in all circumstances until the initial run of the app. Argh!
It's also possible that your wifi antenna has fallen out (mine did when i opened it a while back - i've still not put mine back together :( ). However, i still get a signal even if it is a lot weaker, so this is probably not the problem.
Time for a hard reset i'm afraid :(
