View Full Version : Phone drivers for uk TG50

I downloaded the phone drivers from here (http://www.css.ap.sony.com/clie/downloads/readme.asp?ProductGroup=CLIE+Handheld&DWModel=NZ90/G&DWSWPatches=Phone%20Driver) for my UK model TG50.
Obviously not a good move as it locked up on reset and wont go beyond the 'PALM POWERED' flash screen.
Anyone know if there are suitable drivers out there yet?

Sorry I must be missing something. The first link says it is for OS4 infra red drivers and the second doesn't list the siemens S55.
Which driver are you suggesting?

You are missing something! Take a closer look at the first link (hint: Phone link update)

I downloaded the PhoneLink update and sunc to my TG-50.
When I try to run it I get:
Error
Phone Link will only run on a palm branded handheld.

Any clues?

Yep - I made the same mistake. All you need to install is SiemensS55.prc from the PhoneLink zip - forget about the rest of it. I should mention that I'm using my S55 with a N770 w/BT stick, but Palm says it's for both OS4.x and 5.x, so you should have no problems.

The BT Toggle appears to be working on my TG50 now. However the bluetooth light is still flashing until I look at bluetooth under preferences. Is this a known issue?

PS - any chance of coming up with an sms app that sends the message straight to the clie without having to send and receive?

Make sure you have the lasest version from the authors website, earlier versions had this problem

Thanks that's sorted it - they still had version 1.5 on the PalmGear site. Icon looks nicer too :D
