4cast stopped working

I have had the last 3 releases of 4cast installed on my TX and they have all been able to sync both wired (via HotSync conduit) and wirelessly. One day recently the wireless sync stopped working for this app only. Once initiated, the WiFi would activate, switch to "Connecting" status, then immediately reboot. Crash 2.29 has logged the crash as: "MemoryMgr.c, Line 4077: Free handle".

Shimon had me try a different version with logging, but it reset without any helpful info. I have gone back 3 versions and uninstalled, reset, and reinstalled all of them with the same result. All other wireless apps work - I have fallen back to kMeteo for weather for now and it happily fires up and connects at 7:30am every day.

Anyone have any ideas? I even tried RLocking it, though I knew that wasn't required. I even restored a backup from my primary TX onto my old one (just back from repair) and get the same result. This is frustrating!

I had a similar "soft reset" problem earlier on, when I was still demoing the software (I bought it since then..).. I believe all I wound up doing was a complete uninstall, including a warm reset then re-installed it and it has worked ever since.. Sorry cannot help you anymore..
I would be unhappy if it happened to me because I like the 2day integration of the 4cast.

I'm guessing it has to be 4cast since everything else is working fine. What gets me is I've been thru 3 versions with no hoop juming. My new Mac is demanding some attention, so I'm finding it tough to give the Palm a fair share of time. So many kids to attend to... :o

When you reinstalled, did you do it immediately after the warm reset? I have been doing the warm to clear, then a regular reset, THEN installing from my SD card. Should I change that up a little?

I honestly don't remember the sequence.. I did not reinstall from my backup, though, but I re-downloaded.. Could it be you have some corrupt prefs file that is hiding somewhere in the backup?

I haven't been restoring from backup either. I did try it though. I haven't re-downloaded, but can't imagine all copies on my SD card are bad. I'll download again just in case.
