Hi all,
Any Xplore M98 owners here at 1src, I have a few quick questions I'd love to ask.

Just recently bought M98 for the "collection".
Did not play with it yet, but I will be glad to share experience

I'm contemplating getting the Xplore M98. I just had a few questions that requires someone who already owns one.
I know the device has a transflash expansion slot, any idea if it supports the 1gb or 2gb cards?
How stable is the built-in software?
What's the quality of the camera's photos?
Which colour one did ya get?
How's the reception/call quality/speaker quality?
I've from various people that the phone casing is really poor and the hinge connecting the shell pieces is really weak. How is the casing/hinge on yours?
Most important of all, I've heard the battery is crappy. If I has a full charge, would I be able to get say 4 hours of mp3 music and maybe 2-4 standby hours?
Sorry if it's a lot of questions, but I've looked all over and couldn't find answers to the questions above.

Wow – long post – sorry it took me so long to reply :)
I'm contemplating getting the Xplore M98.
Congrats – it is OK as e device to „play“, though /IMO/ - not really suitable for a primary device

I have it for ~3 weeks now, and although „played“ with it for a couple of days – never used it as a primary device.....
I know the device has a transflash expansion slot, any idea if it supports the 1gb or 2gb cards?
Yes, I am using it with a 1GB Kingston card. Still did not test it with 2GB....
How stable is the built-in software?
No problems here. Works as expected. The bundled software is impressive ;) /QuickOffice Premier, Bejewed, BookWorm, GTS racing, Zap!2016/. Did not install most of the daily used appliactions, but the built-in are definitely OK.
What's the quality of the camera's photos?
A picture speaks thousand words :)
M98 / T650
Which colour one did ya get?
Silver
How's the reception/call quality/speaker quality?
Normal. Nothing exceptional, nothing to complain about. No remarks here.

Seems OK, but this was rarely used. Can't draw a conclusion ...
Most important of all, I've heard the battery is crappy. If I has a full charge, would I be able to get say 4 hours of mp3 music and maybe 2-4 standby hours?
Yes, it is crappy. I bought mine second-hand, but it was barely used. And I can't get 3 hours of continuous 'testing' – just fiddling with the built-in programs, with GSM radio and IR on. I'll try to find a new, replacement battery, but it is definitely much, much worse compared to Treo 650 battery for example /after ~2,5 years of active, daily usage I still have to charge only every 2nd night/.
Unacceptable battery life, lack of bluetooth and non-standard connector give it no chance IMO as a main device. Still – the form factor is nice.....
Hope this helps :D

Thx soooo much sasmout :)
I've been trying to figure out what flip-phone would be best to go along with my TX. This rules out the Xplore M98, now I just need to check out the usability of the QDA 700 :P
All else fails I'll cheap out and get a contract deal for a Moto Krzr, lol

Welcome :)
BTW - my backup /and favorite 'dumb-'/ phone is Ericsson T39. Bluetooth, small, exceptional battery life /OK - partially because of the small screen/, cheap /if you can still find it/.
Sometimes it is easier to use than T650.....
