i installed a downloaded theme on my sony clie N70, but i dont know how to activate it on it so i can see the theme

Depends on what kind of skin you have. You cannot simply install the theme and hope that it works. If it is a launcher skin, say for ZLauncher, you will need to install ZLauncher to use the skin.
The same goes for if it is a SkinUI or PalmRevolt skin, you will need to install either of those applications for it to work.
Basically, if you can tell me what kind of skin it is you've downloaded I can point you in the right direction :)

I know on the NX70 you had to go into the prefs panel. The area where you change the icon view? It would be listed in there.

My bad :) I didn't know the nx70 had theme support builtin :o :o :o
