Would much appreciate help with an issue I am encountering in attempting to hotsync my Clie TJ-35 with my just installed Palm 4.1.4e S/W.
This is a new Palm install on a Vista OS machine I have migrated from using 4.1.4 on an XP machine. The install and desktop functionality is smooth as expected but the hotsync does not function; not even the standard hotsync start sound. Upon attempting a hotsync Windows displays a 'Found New Hardware' pop up with the message 'Windows needs to install driver software on your Palm handheld'. After OK'ing the prompt Windows searches and soon comes back with a 'Driver Installation' pop up with 'Driver software was not successfully installed: Palm Handheld - Wizard cancelled by user / Palm Handheld - device unplugged'. What to do? I even changed the Palm desktop to run as admin and searched the Clie 5.x S/W install CD for a driver install utility. From a non-savvy PC user,
