This may be old already, but Brayder has the demo of the newest version of JackFlash. I have a question though, is JackSafe installed in the RAM or FlashROM? Thanks.

hi- did you get a Jacksprat and Jackflash that works with the SJ-30 ? My box says there is 4 Meg of Rom, so...? When I use old versions, nothing!
please email direct -- jimmyb@chebucto.ns.ca
JackSafe installs first into RAM, and then once run installs itself somewhere in ROM - or maybe overwrites something else..
Anyway - it works very well (had to try it out...)
Ans to unregistered - some version of the SJ30 do have ROM on baord. Download at least the 2.7b1 trial to see. If it reports that some ROM is available then you can buy the full one and use.

Correct me if I'm wrong. JackSafe is the application that allows the contents in the FlashROM to be "visible" after a hard reset, right? Thanks again.
You're right - so to be sure I performed a hard reset (about time too) to try it out.
Also freed up about 1.5Mb even though I now have more apps installed. I got my SJ30 as an early xmas present in Nov, and tried out a lot of software. I assume something(s) left libraries, etc.. lying aroung.
Nothing like a spring clean - and of course everything I want permanently on the SJ is stored in Flash just in case I want to do it again!

Thanks for the info.
OK. So you installed JackFlash and then put JackSafe into FlashROM along with the other apps. that you want permanently on your SJ30, then you did a hard reset and JackSafe and the apps. were immediately visible, right after the hard reset? Or did you have to install JackFlash again (after the hard reset) to be able to access and use the apps. in the FlashROM? Thanks again!
The apps were immediately visible - but I still had to re-install Jackflash if I wanted to play around with the Flash.

Can system updates be installed in FlashROM? I have a SJ33 and I would like to put this in the FlashROM:
