Hi...  I updated the Clie Cam and Camlib drivers. While I still haven't seen the battery improvements others here have described... I am hopeful that this will improve over time, But... On two occasions now, days or so later,  I go to use the camera and notice the drivers have reverted back to the originals. Upon installation, they both read 1.1, at some unknown point, they revert back.

When this happens: I try to reinstall these files using Palm Desktop and then a HotSync. I then get an Error message generated from hot Sync Manager that these 1.1 files already exists on the Clie. I click Ok.... Go the the Clie... Viola'- It does in fact again show the correct drivers.

I have an NZ90, all updates from sony site, CF driver with Viking 1 gig CF and a Sony MagicGate 128 Meg Memory stick. I have MS Backups on both the CF and MS. -I mount and unmount / Masqarade and UnMasqarade- to get the backups on both media.

.... Waiting for Clie Gremlins to strike again or for you kind folks to come to my rescue.

Thx

I seem to have problems with those updates and the CLIE Files update when I move them to flash memory. The Cam S shows up as old version when update is in flash and when I move it back I can never find the update listed in RAM. Same thing with CLIE Files.

I'm just gonna be keeping all updates in RAM from the start now.

I am using them with the ZL3.5B5 moving them to flash and saving 569K as CamSData.pdb moves too (Same function as PowerRun but works better)

For the moment I still get 1.1 in the about menu when I launch them.

No-no-no!

Do NOT put updates in Flash, especially if they mirror the existing ROM app, as you said they disappear and use up RAM and you can't access it. The only fix I know then is a hard reset.

N2ifp is correct. I solved my original problem by doing a hard reset, a MS restore and a reinstallation of the Cam 1.1 drivers. I now leave them in Ram and have never had this problem again.
