Does any one know if the 665 will support an upgrade to OS5? Is Palmsource even going to provide a user upgradable path?

Also, any word on whether the 665 supports the new 256MB memory sticks?

Thanks!!

OS 4 runs on 33-66Mhz dragonball processors.
OS 5 runs on 160-200Mhz+ ARM processors.

And that Memory Stick question REALLY BURNS ME!
SONY SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DIFFERENT MEMORY STICK FORMATS FOR DIFFERENT SONY BRAND DEVICES? I DON'T THINK SO. SO MUCH FOR MY BUYING BOTH A SONY DIGITAL VIDEO CAMERA AND DIGITAL CAMERA THIS MONTH - I WANT SOMETHING WITH A CF OR SD INSTEAD

about that different formats for sony mem stick comment. I don't know about the 256mb chip, but I took my 64 meg sony mem chip to circuit city and tried it out in 3 different palms, a printer, a digital movie camera, and a digital camera all made by sony to which each one was able to see the files on the stick. What was even more cool was I put the stick in the movie camera, recorded a small movie, and viewed it on the new nx clie movie player

The 128X2 Memory Stick (forget the official name) should work in the T665.

I think that there's a general consensus that the official name is "Piece of Sh#t". Sony's newest press release...

"Sony, as it remains committed to supporting our continuingly evolving product line, will soon be introducing the Memory Stick Choice (tm) product line. For earlier generation Clie Personal Assistants, Digital Camera, and Digital Camcorder users, the MS Choice (tm) line represents the cutting edge of digital storage technology. Through the use of next-generation technology, two Memory Sticks (tm) will be attached with velcro. The consumer has then only to pull apart the velcro to use a Memory Stick (tm), and then reattach them when he or she is done. Please note that the Memory Stick Choice (tm) is a significant departure from the earlier announced Memory Stick II (tm), as our designers experienced some loss of usability from the duct-tape. Sony continues to innovate next-generation products for the this-generation consumer."

This is a n old thread....sorry for bringing it up....

But someone hear said the T665c IS going to support the 128x2 Memory sticks. That is very good for me.

Only thing is I don't think there will be a Magic Gate version of the 128x2.
