An updated version of Pilot Install is available at www.freewarepalm.com
Pilot Install is a great way to install apps and files to your PDA which does it without performing a full HotSync, so it is much faster!
Here is the link:

The Download Site is still pointing to 4.5.0 from Feb 03 ?
Oh well ... may need to wait a few days until they fix this.

It's here:

Does anyone have a valid email address for the developer? The one listed at PalmGear does not work. Also, because I'm using a Mac (OS 9), I can't open the Windows or OS X beta download files to get the email from a ReadMe file.
Thanks in advance :)

Nope ... I tried the link at www.PalmGear.com which you have above, and even though the description on the webpage says you are downloading 4.5.1, the file you end up downloading is 4.5.0 from Feb 2003.
That was the same problem I had over and over. I even went to the developers webpage, and all I could download was the Feb 2003 4.5.0 file.
The developers of Pilot Install need to put the correct file on the download sites.

But in case anybody doesn't know about Pilot Install.
It is a FANTASTIC INSTALL PROGRAM which replaces the install program you use in the Palm Desktop software.
Or you can use both.
I use Pilot Install because it doesn't require you to run a full HotSync, when you only want to install new apps.
It reduces install time from minutes down to seconds !!!
There are also other great features, like it keeps track of everything you installed in a History File, and you can browse the file.
It also shows any eBooks installed in the History by their full name, not by the filename of the .PRC or .PDB file.
Definitely try this program !
You will be very glad you did !

Has anybody got the May 8 download yet?? I'm having the same problem with the download sites -- the old version is still up.

Edit -- Fixed my own problem: It is working now. I selected "USB", got the blue screen of death, rebooted the computer (WinXPHome), then ran PInstall again, and this time it worked fine. So my original question is obsolete:
"I used to use PInstall all the time -- until I got my first Clie a year ago. Since then whenever I open PInstall and queue a file in PInstall then hit HotSync, HS ignores PInstall. Any suggestions? I've tried the "Register Filetypes" menu item. Thanks."

Just thought I'd ask again if anyone could post the valid email address for this developer.
Thank you! :)

I have been a registered user of Pinstall, I can't find the new version either, only the February one.
