-your clock is cool, why not have the small font date under the clock. Something like in Windows Mobile 6.1, maybe someone will make a skin for the clock with that glossy look around the clock.

-have a search google box (I usually use Moxy, but I have to go to my launcher), much like treo 750 today screen.

-make takephone a keyguard, I use KeyguardEx and is great to press any key and get the time, battery, etc... But I would love if It pop-up takephone with its info, clock, signal, battery, calender, etc...

-maybe make it more like Windows Mobile 6.1 today screen, on highlighting item on screen (like the calender) it becomes bigger and this why you can put more info when highlighted (the example of the calender would show more calender Items)

Thx for response. Yes the date can be on top but it puts the time, when you got the clock addon no need for two clocks.

Thx for the tip of the google search, yes its a bit hidden but it works.

About the keyguard, if you could make like a screenshot of the takephone main info (the clock screen) because a person doesn't have to interact with the screen just look at it when inmde keyguard. Maybe this may be to slow to make the screenshot. It was just a idea.

About the 2day, yes I know about it, its great. Like 4cast is to but the takephone skin does pass to them, we have to a skin for each one, but anyway... Have you seen the way that Windows Mobile 6.1 today works? If you used its way you could put more info on screen. Has we select a option on screen like the weather, the rest of the items on screen would become smaller and the selected item would show a bigger weather image, but when we nav away it becomes small again. This way any option on screen could have more info will nav through each item. The clock would have the date on select, 4cast the weather with bigger image, calender with more itens or todos, last call show more calls, fotos with a bigger list. Maybe this way you cold but small font and on select the font be bigger. Just another idea.

Don't get me wrong, this app is the best. This was some ideas I want to share. Keep up the good work, once again your search contact is very good, congratulations.

I appreciate any idea - user ideas are what made TAKEphONE (and 2day, and 4cast) what they are today...

The date & time are on top always, shile the main clock only shows when screen is empty. That is why I keep displaying the time on top.

I am planning on unifying the skins for 2day with TAKEphONE.

I will have to find a WM 6.1 device to play with.

I think that WM 6 (or WM5) with its today screen is an entirely different concept that is hard to reproduce on Palm platform. Yes, 2day does come close, but it is not quite the same.
WM's today screen allows different developers to supply different plug-in modules. These different modules reside on today's screen independently of each other. For instance, they can have independent scroll actions, refresh rates, in each subwindow.
Take a look at these two links for today software integration, for example

I think that they do the most amazing job.

All said, though, I do believe that shsh products come closest to such integration.

i do think windows mobile 6.1 smartphone today screen still has to much wasted spaces, and I do like takephone more. But they have a nice idea that could be something for takephone.

But anyway, maybe the clock area good be the main area which it is because its where we search and google ;). Maybe on nav and highlighting items, this area would show more info. Think about it, it maybe usefull or maybe its to hard of change. But anyway I still think Takephone is the best of them.

Yes MobileShell has some nice ideas too. But I'm more a Treo user so the Normal Today for me is to blocky. I think the normal today of the Windows Mobile Profissional is more the 2day app. And the Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone today screen or MobileShell, is more the Takephone app.

Yes your right, I have smaller screen. But I also was talking about the addons features of the today screen of WM, some today screens get to crowded (full of weird icons and stuff we don't even use) and very very slow. I like the MobileShell method, clean and usefull.

I get that its cool to let developer do lots of addons but then it can become all clugged up, take firefox, the other day it was crashing all the time and other days it was too slow. I delete some addons and it worked much better. The normall user will not know this and thats why some people say that there today is to slow or the Windows Mobile crashes all the time.

I like the addon feature but i also like simplicity and speed. Thats why I love PalmOS. Takephone has some addons (clock, 4cast) but simple enough not to make my Palm six fifty 507Mhz get down slow and crashy. I like takephone. I was just giving out some ideas to make it better.

I also like 2day, and if it gets the skins that takephone has, then its going to be hard to beat and very good combo with Takephone.

I have noticed two things, before the default skin in 4cast, 2day and takephone were the same, now takephone has a new skin. Are you going to put that skin as default in 4cast and 2day? It looks nice when all 3 having the same skin.

Another thing I tried the icons for i-bar but I noticed that the people have white dots around them, so I didn't like them and I prefer the call name which give a transparent box but anyway now I would like to delete these icon files but I can't find them. I look for Tp something but them don't appear. Any trick to delete them?

thx, i've delete the files. About which skin I like most, maybe the new takephone one, it has a brighter blue and the image quality is a bit better. The background of the 2day default skin has some pixelation.

This last feature is great but this Alt press I don't like because I press it again and it goes to dialpad. Can I disable dialpad? On a treo no need for dialpad because we can dial with keyboard. Or batter yet is there a way to make this new feature a view (5-nav to the right 2 times opens dialpad, can it open this feature).

Other thing if I press ALt once and go out of the app and back, it goes to the normal view, but if I press alt two times and open up the dialpad and go out of the app and back, the dialup appears again. It should go back to normal view, right?

I second the finger friendly interface. (i.e. big scroll-left and scroll-right buttons).

And perhaps the option to scroll the i-bar by page? Scrolling icons one-by-one gets cumbersome if you have all slots filled.

since i have a treo now i came across your app, which indeed looks a lot better than the standard app (which, in turn, isn´t too hard since that is REALLY ugly). but my first tests didn´t get far - the "call divert" icons don´t show up on the main phone screen ?? these are essential for me.

i tried to fiddle around with those settings that deal with the top line, but they allow for "time/date" or location only. is there a hidden setting for those icons ?

I think juggernaut is talking about the "Show time & date on top" option under Prefs/Misc.2 - it is pushed a bit to the right.

Since the time is displayed by so many of us (per screen shots) would it be possible to allow only the Date to be displayed "on top"?

This is a screen of the clock skin (it´s name is "BStorming", i think i got it from treocentral) and my settings screen.

This 004 fix was for a bug with the clock display on the dialpad version of the find page, not your bug (hopefully that will be next - it's apparently an issue with plugin use)

Have you had any success in replicating the i-bar related problems on the T|T3 that I reported such as where using the home button to launch i-bar results in

"An error occurred in the application you are using . . . Note the error code and cotact the developer of this application (sys 0505)(0,841).

And the crash when exiting any "card located application" that was launched by i-bar?

One problem I've had for many versions now (and always hoped would somehow self-cure) is that whenever I try to assign a photo to a contact in my ibar, the phone soft-resets. When the feature was first introduced it worked fine, and I still have some contacts linked with the photos assigned to them then. But If I try to re-assign them a new photo, or set up a new contact with a photo, the problem occurs. I can assign icons to contacts w/o problem.

Im using a GSM Treo 650

Anyone: is there some way to get the full-page i-bar (i.e. 25 "buttons") as the default first page that appears when you hit the phone button? (Using TP 7.80 on a Treo 650).

Shimon: I found a work-around for the problem mentioned in my previous post here (reset when trying to reassign a photo to a contact). I found that deleting the old contact, and creating a new one (vs editing the existing one) allows me to use the photo I want for any given contact.
