How do I get MP3 to play on the UX-50? The sound application that comes standard only seems to play what is recorded through the unit. I have 256 and 1Gb Scandisks containing MP3 files, but can't seem to get them to play on the unit.
What am I missing?

I think the manual states it can only play non-VBR files and also not all of them. It might be worth to read the exact explanation in the manual

The application that plays recorded clips is called "voice rec", maybe you got it wrong.
There is a application called "AudioPlayer" that plays MP3.
Plug your MemoryStick into your computer's card reader and you should see some folders created by the Clie for you. There should at least be a folder called "palm"; another called "programs" in there; and a "msaudio" folder in the next layer. If not, create them your self. Your MP3s should be in the route: "palm/programs/msaudio" for AudioPlayer to recognize it.

hi i think your problem is that audio files need to be in a folder for the clie to recognise them. look at the directory on the media section of the ux50's memory and youll see an audio folder, create this directory (from the beginning/root) on your memory stick and then put the mp3's in there!

You rock! Thanks - I was just saving my files to the wrong area (duh)
Thank you very much - that's why I stick with this group. :)
