This is a really dumb question. My alarm clock just died and I decided to give 2playme a try for that purpose.
I do have pTunes, obviously, with a bunch of music files on my card.
But when I try to select pTunes for a new item in 2playme, and press "test it", it just plays that annonying built-in midi alarm. I can get 2playme to launch pTunes as an "internal application", but why won't it do it as an "alarm"??
I tried changing the music path to b:\ to point to sd card, but no luck..
aargh..

You need to point directly at a file, say an m3u.

I don't have any files on the main device. They are all on the card.
How do I point at a card:
I tried pointing at a playlist, say
b:\palm\programs\pockettunes\playlist.pls
Is that allowed?

No drive letter.
/PALM/Programs/pTunes/all.m3u is mine.

And this is to point to an SD card? (just making sure)

OK, that did it. That drive letter was tripping me up. But here is the kicker: I just converted all my playlists to .pls and the 2playme cannot read them!

.pls files are for internet radio... why on earth did you convert them?
m3u is the de facto standard for playlists... :)

aargh.. I don't know.. I read about them in a Wikipedia article, where it mentioned some advantages of pls format playlist..
"PLS is a computer file format that stores multimedia playlists. It is a more expressive format than basic M3U, as it can store (cache) information on the song title and length"

meh, but ptunes doesn't support nonstreaming pls iirc... :) You can feel free to try, just don't base your morning alarm on it
Happy new year!!!!
