The AData 16GB SDHC is selling for $95 shipped at Newegg. I was wondering if anyone has tried it on the Treo 680 yet?
Thanks!

Anybody have the answer to the question-16gb card work on the 680? Mine works for a little bit, then loses contact with the card. Frustrating.
Transcend 16gb Class 6 works flawlessly in my Treo 680.

What card are using? I used the Patriot 16GB and I am getting the same result as yours. Did you by chance got it to work?

Are you needing a driver to make the 8GB card work in your Treo680 then ROMEOL ?? as i am currently using a maxed out 4GB card and would love to upgrade to 8GB/16GB if i can . If i need drivers then is there a place i can get these from ??
Thanks

This guy has a good post about the >4GB SDHC cards.
http://blog.treonauts.com/2008/02/centro-microsdh.html
I don't have an SD reader for my PC that will read SDHC (it's coming in the mail soon), but here's my guess on how this is going to work. I'll use PTunes for example.
1. I have a Centro with a 8GB SDHC card
2. When I plug my Centro into my PC and enable PTunes MTP mode, I see my Centro in Real Rhapsody as 4GBs free. This makes sense because the MTP driver is running on the Centro, so it's victim to the 4GB free-space limitation.
3. I load up songs on my device until Real Rhapsody thinks my device is full. Let's pretend the math-ferry paid me a visit, and Rhapsody filled my device to 3,999,999,999 bytes, so now I have
3,999,999,999 bytes used
1 byte free
4. Rhapsody won't add any more songs, because it thinks the Centro is full.
5. Next, I take the SD card out of Centro, and load it into my PC, and it reports the same "used" number, but the REAL "free" number:
3,999,999,999 bytes used
4,000,000,001 byte free
6. Hopefully you read the post in the link above, so the difference between the Centro free-space calc, and the PC free-space calc is understood.
7. I copy a 100K photo from my PC to the SD card
4,000,099,999 bytes used
3,999,900,001 bytes free
8. I put the put the SD card back in my Centro, plug the Centro back into my PC, and load PTunes. Now PTunes shows:
99,999 bytes used
3,999,900,001 bytes free
I can't test out this logic past step #6 until I get my SDHC card reader later this week, but from what I've read, I'm fairly certain this is how it works.
For those of you who've got the 8 & 16GB cards to work, is this what you've experienced?

Can someone who has a 8/16GB card working in their 680/755/Centro confirm that my assumptions above are correct?

Sure can  . After reading your notes above ive come home from work , removed my standard 4GB card from Treo 680 and replaced it with a 8GB Micro SDHC with adapter.
I put 3.8GB of info first off onto card vis Laptop and when inserted it was all excessible but only showed the remaining space to the 4GB limit.
I then removed card and loaded it up futher with music to make the data on the card in excess of 4GB.When reinserted into the Treo all data is readable and although card total is incorrect the free space reads correctly as i have over 4GB already on the card.
Hope this makes sense . If things change over usage ill report back and let you know .
Please do the same on your findings if you do this too as i,d be interested to follow other peoples progress
